Elizabeth Pekin, esq
Executive Director of Legal Funding

Elizabeth Pekin, Esq., is the Executive Director of Legal Funding at Oasis. She manages the outside sales representatives at Oasis’ regional offices across the country. In addition, Ms. Pekin manages the company’s sales and marketing department in order to further promote Oasis’ services. Ms. Pekin works with attorneys across the country to assist their clients with their financial needs. Prior to working at Oasis in 2003, Ms. Pekin litigated cases in Chicago, focusing her practice on personal injury and worker’s compensation law. While practicing law, she had the opportunity to litigate cases at the trial level as well as argue several cases in the appellate court. Ms. Pekin attended Tulane University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. She has been a featured speaker at legal conventions and is a published author in various significant legal publications. Ms. Pekin is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida.

Brittany Ecalono
Southeast Regional Sales Director

Brittany Ecalono is one of the Southeast Regional Sales Directors at Oasis. She develops and maintains existing business relationships with attorneys and leading law firms in the South Florida area. In addition to promoting Oasis’ services throughout the state of Florida, Ms. Ecalono attends legal conventions nationwide. Prior to working for Oasis, she worked in sales for Marriott Corporation from 2007 to 2010. Ms. Ecalono received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in 2007. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Miami, an organization of women committed to improving communities through effective action and leadership.

Kristin McGuire is the Southwest Regional Sales Director at Oasis. Ms. McGuire is responsible for developing and maintaining existing business relationships with attorneys and leading law firms in Texas and Oklahoma. Prior to working for Oasis in 2009, Ms. McGuire worked as a Sales Associate in the medical device industry. She graduated with High Honors, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007. There, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations from the College of Communication.

Kelly Gilroy
Northeast Regional Sales Director

Kelly Gilroy is the Manager of Government Affairs and the Northeast Regional Sales Director at Oasis. Ms. Gilroy is responsible for developing and maintaining existing business relationships with attorneys and leading law firms in the state of New York. In addition to working throughout the Northeast region, she attends legal conventions nationwide. As Manager of Government affairs, Ms. Gilroy promotes legislative, regulatory and policy efforts on behalf of the consumer legal funding industry. Prior to working for Oasis in 2010, Ms. Gilroy was a policy advisor for the Illinois Department of Corrections where she managed policy and special projects under the Assistant Director. She also worked on a variety of issues such as death penalty reform, economic equality and domestic violence. In 2008, Ms. Gilroy was selected as a delegate for the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership, a non-profit program designed to train women to be effective leaders in Illinois government and politics. Ms. Gilroy received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degrees from the Harris School of Public Policy and the School of Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago in 2005.

Dina Piedra is one of the Southeast Regional Sales Directors at Oasis. Ms. Piedra develops and maintains existing business relationships with attorneys and leading law firms in Orlando, Tampa and northern Florida. In addition to working throughout the Southeast region, Ms. Piedra attends legal conventions nationwide. Prior to working for Oasis, she worked as an attorney at Luks, Santaniello, Petrillo & Jones where she handled Liability and Insurance matters. In 2003, Ms. Piedra was admitted to the Florida Bar. Her practice areas include Auto, Premises Liability, Wrongful Death and Insurance Law and Coverage. Ms. Piedra’s undergraduate work was completed at Florida State University and she received her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2003. Ms. Piedra is a previous honoree of the Silver Award Scholarship for excellence in Legal Writing and Research.

Paige Winkels is the Midwest Regional Sales Director at Oasis. Ms. Winkels develops and maintains existing business relationships with attorneys and leading law firms in the Midwest region. In addition to working in the Midwest, she attends legal conventions and seminars nationwide. Prior to working for Oasis, Ms. Winkels worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker at Titan Commercial. Previous to that, she worked in the Leasing Department at Bank of America. Ms. Winkels graduated Cum Laude and with honors in Economics and Business from Lake Forest College in 2008. She received distinction for her Economics Senior Thesis on United States Federal Income Tax Reform.

Prior to working at Oasis, she worked as a Manager of Client and Professional services for a real estate management company. Previous to that, she was the company’s Senior Client Services Specialist. Ms. Davison was awarded the President’s Club Winner in 2009 for outstanding customer service. From 2002 to 2006, Ms. Davison was an account manager at an IT solutions company.

Carolyn Magness is the Northeast Regional Sales Director at Oasis. Ms. Magness is responsible for developing and maintaining existing business relationships with attorneys and leading law firms in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. In addition to working throughout the Northeast region, she attends legal conventions nationwide. Prior to working for Oasis, Ms. Magness worked as a Sales Manager at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern, PA. from 2008 to 2012. She graduated Cum Laude from Towson University in 2008. There, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the College of Communication and a Certificate in Marketing from the College of Business.
